My Birchbox also included this Befine food skin care exfoliating cleanser with brown sugar, sweet almond, & oats. I am so excited to try this product—it smells amazing! I’m a sucker for sweet-scented body soaps (coconut, brown sugar, chocolate, etc.) so this is on the top of my must-try list right now.
I want to apologize for my lack of posts these past few weeks! I’ve been super busy with tennis/summer homework/college apps, etc. I definitely have not meant to neglect my blog as much as I have, & I really do want to make a commitment to post more frequently. I already have some ideas floating around though, so stay tuned :) Anyway, I got home from practice today for my August Birchbox, which I have been very (im)patiently awaiting. In it was this Stila tinted moisturizer, which I already love. (more photos+full reviews to come)
I picked up a new type of Que Bella face mask at Target the other day, & I’m excited to try it out—my skin needs it badly, especially after sweating so much today! I sort of doubt that it will self-heat like the package claims, but we’ll see. The masks are super inexpensive and definitely worth the money—they each come in little packets that can give you about 2-3 uses, if used sparingly. I’ve also tried their chocolate and cucumber masks and loved them.
I’m off to go to tennis, but quick update: I just got an email from Sigma yesterday and my package has been shipped! They have been kind enough to send me a free kit to review, plus another to giveaway. As soon as the package arrives I will be setting up the giveaway, so stay tuned for that! (;

1. Turn your house into a personal spa. Paint your nails—or better yet, invite some friends over and give each other mani-pedis. Use face masks like Que Bella or make your own using simple recipes like these. Dim the lights and play relaxing music on your computer or speakers to add to the spa feel.
2. Rent a couple classic movies and invite a few friends over for a movie night complete with snacks & popcorn. When you can unwind and absorb yourself in a good story for a few hours, it gives you less time to dwell on what’s stressing you out.
3. Go on a relaxing walk or jog in your neighborhood. Observe the scenery around you and let those good mood inducing endorphins flood your body.
4. Redesign your bedroom. Even a few simple furniture shifts or a change in color scheme can change your whole attitude. Create a space that feels reflective of you and can serve as your own private corner of the world.
5. Drive or take a train to a part of your town or city that you don’t usually visit. Visit new shops, meet new people, and observe the everyday activity of a place that you’ve never seen before—you never know what you’ll discover!
6. Cook or bake with your family & friends. Try out a new recipe, or even one that’s tried and true. The process of creating the food on your plate can give you a renewed sense of appreciation for your body and what you put in it.
7. Brew a big mug of coffee or tea and read that book you’ve been wanting to read but haven’t been able to find the time. Or, if you’re not into books, buy yourself an inexpensive journal and write about what’s stressing you out—often you’ll find that what you’re worried about isn’t actually as earth-shattering as it may seem in your head.
8. Turn off your cell phone and computer. Unplug yourself from the world for just a couple hours and give yourself some “me-time” without the added tension of technology!
